Hosts Curacao made a brilliant come back by defeating St Kitts and Nevis 3-0 to top the table of Group 5 in the 2014 Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Men’s Under-20 Qualifiers played yesterday at the Ergilio Hato Stadium, in Curacao, while the Cayman Islands outplayed Anguilla 5-0 in their encounter played at this same venue.
Scoring for the Cayman Islands were David Connelly in the 10th minute, Mathew Suberan in the 43rd, Jermaine Wilson in the 65th, Martin Webb from the Penalty spot in the 70th minute and Anthony Nelson in the 83rd.
Meanwhile, the goal scorers for Curacao were Ronald Albertus in the 58th and Isai Marselia in the 65th and 71st minute. Curacao now joins Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Aruba as winners of their respective groups which qualifies them to the Final Round to be staged in Trinidad and Tobago next month.
Further announcements will be made at a later date confirming the other two teams that have made it to the final rounds.
