Trinidad & Tobago and Haiti lead Groups in CFU Men’s U-20

Trinidad and Tobago leads Group A while Haiti leads Group B in the Final Round of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) 2014 Men’s Under 20 Qualifiers with six points each.

Cuba has three points Suriname has three as well while Curacao is on Zero, this completes the table in Group A. In Group B, Haiti has six points while Dominican Republic and Aruba both have three points apiece.

St Kitts & Nevis are yet to make it on the point standings. Resulting from the Group B games played September 15th, at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Dominican Republic came from behind to defeat St Kitts & Nevis 3-1 and Haiti beat Aruba 2-1.

Scoring for Dominican Republic were Aneuys Feliz Mateo in the 33rd and 45th minute and Ricardo Andres Llanos Peñalo in the 78th minute, while Jamieson Mckoy scored for St Kitts & Nevis in the 4th minute. Meanwhile, scoring for the Haitians were Demas Fernander in the 14th and Campoy Allessandro in the 20th, Ricky Hodge netted the consolation goal for Aruba in the 78th minute.

Suriname meets Curacao in the early game in Group A at the Hasely Crawford Stadium at 5:00pm tomorrow, September 16, while Trinidad and Tobago encounters Cuba in the feature game at 7:15pm same place.

These last sets of game will be the deciding factors for the two semifinalist expected to emerge from this group. The Finals will be staged at the Hasely Crawford Stadium on Friday, September 19, with the top teams advancing to the CONCACAF U-20 finals
