Jamaica and Cuba win in CFU Women’s U-17

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Day three in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under 17 Championships saw Jamaica defeat Bermuda 5 -1, while Cuba gained three points against Puerto Rico.

Jamaica opened the scoring in the 6th minute from Marlee Fray, from close range. Fray then added her second of match in the 14th minute. Jamaica's third goal of the match came when Tarania Clark scored in the 44th minute, ending the first half.

Bermuda would reply in the 50th minute via Nia Christopher but Jamaica would add a fourth goal in the 59th minute with a strike from Jody Brown. Rena Gordon rounded up the scoring in the 67th minute, ending the match 5 -1 in favour of Jamaica.

In the second match of the night, hosts Puerto Rico fell to Cuba 2 - 1. Lilian Perez opened scoring for Cuba in the 35th minute of play, ending the first half 1-0.

Cuba's lead would be doubled by Yilien Perez in the 50th minute. Puerto Rico would score a consolation in the 80th minute from Josephine Cotto.
