San Juan, Puerto Rico - The semi finals of the Caribbean Football Union's Under 17 Championships saw Jamaica down Trinidad and Tobago 1 -0 and Haiti 3- 2 Cuba.
In what was built up to be the battle of two Caribbean giants ended as a tight affair as one goal was all that was needed to separated the two nations. After a scoreless first half, a late goal from Jamaica forward Marlee Fray in the 83rd minute was enough for Jamaica to defeat Trinidad and Tobago and secure a place in the finals.
Haiti and Cuba would also feature in the second semi finals match of the day as it took extra time for a winner to be decided.
Haiti would open the scoring in the 16th minute with a goal from Nelourde Nicolas. Cuba would draw the match level through Sairy Ferrer in the 23rd minute of play. The match would end tied after regulation. During extra time Haiti would take control Nerilla Mondesir scored in the 99th minute, followed by Lovelie Pierre in the 104th minute.
Cuba would pull one back through Wendy Corcho in the 109 minute but it wasn't enough as Haiti held on for a 3 - 2 victory.
The finals will see Jamaica take on Haiti on November 22nd 7pm and Cuba versus Trinidad & Tobago at 5pm.
