PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (October 21, 2015) – The Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Women’s Under 20 Finals completed the semifinal round with defending champions Jamaica defeating Puerto Rico 2-1 to book their place in the finals along with
Haiti, who defeated Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 in the night's feature match.
The Jamaica vs. Puerto Rico match was a closely-contested, hard-fought affair.
The young Reggae Girlz began the encounter in high gear, attacking the Puerto Rican defense from all sides. The Puerto Ricans would find it hard to cope with the early game pressure, and it showed when Jamaica opened the scoring in the 3rd minute when Simone Wark hit home from inside box.
Puerto Rico would recover midway through the first half, but Jamaica's defense held strong to go into the break 1-0.
Puerto Rico returned for the second half revived, creating chances and, at various stages, dominated play. But Jamaica broke their momentum in the 64th minute when Deneisha Blackwood made it 2-0.
Puerto Rico pulled one back in the 83rd when Alejandra Carrion gave her team a fighting chance but the match would end 2-1 in favour of Jamaica, who advance to the finals.

The feature match of the night and last semifinal would see host nation Haiti take on Trinidad and Tobago.
The Haitians came out the gates with clear intent. They controlled the game and dominated possession, making it hard for Trinidad’s Soca Princesses to gain any momentum in the first half.
The first goal came for the host nation in the 35th minute when Sabine Chandler gave her team an early lead.
Minutes later, Trinidad and Tobago would almost sneak in a goal against the run of play, but Haiti defended well, taking their lead into the halftime break.
The second half saw more Haitian domination, and Nerilla Mondesir made it 2-0 in the 51st minute for the hosts.
Haiti held on the for the 2-0 victory, advancing to the finals to face Jamaica on Friday at 6 pm.
